Joan has been involved in the Catholic Church all her life, serving as a steward in parish life as well as at the Diocesan level. She currently serves as Eucharistic Minister for St. Timothy’s in Laguna Niguel.
In 2011 Joan was asked to coach the priests in the Diocese of Orange in their “Priest Study Days.” She is the first woman to do this, and the topic of this 2-day seminar was “Communication and Your Future.” The seminar focused on leadership, communication effectiveness, and productivity. Ninety-Three priests attended.
She has coached Seminarians and worked closely with the Director of Vocations for the Diocese of Orange for the past three years. Joan has also traveled the world visiting various Marian Shrines including Bosnia, Spain, Japan, France, and “The Chapel of Mercy” in Kevelaer, Germany.
She recently returned from a trip to Lebanon with Bishop Gregory Mansour (Chairman of the board of Catholic Relief Services) to assist the Children of Syria. Joan found it enormously rewarding to be there to witness the incredible work of Caritas Lebanon. Come be inspired as Joan shares the journey of her work with the priests and people in the Church and how it has changed her life.
